Hey there!

I'm Colleen, a certified health & lifestyle coach, wellness junkie, plant lover, traveler, yogi and beach bum (just to name a few). I hope that by sharing my story it will inspire and empower you to embark on your own journey to vibrant health as well as a life of peace, love and prosperity. I wholeheartedly believe that optimal  health is the vehicle that allows us to create the life we desire, and without our health we cannot fully embody the person we were put on this earth to be.  With that said, let's go back to a time where I wasn't so gung-ho about fermented foods and ginger shots....

"Your present circumstances don't determine where you can go; they merely determine where you start."
Nido Qubein

Like many, I grew up eating the Standard American Diet. My diet consisted of endless amounts of soda, potato chips, microwaveable meals, sugary snacks, pasta and pizza. Not knowing anything about nutrition or how food affected my body, I inevitably carried these eating habits into my college years and early adulthood.

By the time I reached my mid twenties I started to lose control of my life and my health. At the age of 24, while I was studying for my masters degree, I worked full-time as an overnight bartender in order to pay my bills and make ends meet. My demanding schedule interfered with the quantity and quality of my sleep, which ultimately lead me to rely on coffee (lots and lots..and lots of coffee) as my means for energy. I had little to no motivation for exercise and I was depending on take out for every meal. To blow off some steam, I would go out to bars with friends and indulged in a few too many cocktails.

My lifestyle was negatively impacting my ability to focus, which made concentrating at school and work nearly impossible. I was losing control over my emotional state to the point where I began experiencing anxiety attacks. I felt as though I had no control over my circumstances and I would forever go through life on autopilot, yet I so badly wished for things to be different.

Shortly before my 26th birthday I decided it was time to ask for some help. I knew I had to make a change, otherwise I would continue on this downward spiral. So, I hired a coach (who I still work with three years later). We started by making my health a number one priority. I began eating more fruits and vegetables, drank more water, got better sleep and began exercising regularly. I dove head first into self development such as books, philosophy, podcasts, seminars, webinars, online courses and workshops. Gradually and steadily my health, my mindset and my circumstances begun to shift in a way that I didn't think was possible.

Fast forward 4 years later and I have lost a total of 30 pounds (naturally and gradually), launched my own health coaching business, traveled the world and have found alignment with my true self.

"Health is a state of complete harmony of the mind, body and spirit. When one is free from physical disability and mental distractions, the gates of the soul open."

BKS Iyengar

I know what it's like feeling utterly helpless, but wanting things to be different. I know what it's like to push yourself the point of exhaustion and get little in return for your efforts. I know what it's like to find comfort in food during low emotional moments. And I have been through the vicious dieting cycle more times than I can count.

I'm here to tell you that change is possible. You do not have to be a victim to your circumstances and you CAN have the life you've been yearning for. It all starts with you and putting your wellbeing as your number one priority.

When your body, mind and soul are in harmony with one another, you will bring more health and harmony into your everyday life and potentially those around you. What are you waiting for? Learn more about my program here.
